Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully. Before booking, you will be asked to confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you proceed with your booking, it is imperative that you adhere to the Terms and Conditions at all times. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff before booking.

Bookings

Customers are welcome to make bookings through the following channels:

·       Online, either directly through our website at www.liverpoolcitysights.com or on one of our partner sites (please note that booking fees may apply).

·       On the telephone, by contacting 0151 298 1253.

·       In person, through one of our sellers at Gower Street, the Royal Albert Dock, or our box office bus on Canada Boulevard.

The only people permitted on the tour are those who have booked with Liverpool City Sights or a relevant partner and hold a relevant ticket.

Upon booking, customers will receive an automated receipt by email, followed by their e-tickets. Guests are welcome to print their tickets or present them on a smartphone (or other relevant device) to the sales team, driver or guide at the time of the tour.

All tours begin at Stop 1, Gower Street, and the Royal Albert Dock. An interactive map to Gower Street can be found here. However, you can pick up the City Tour from any of our designated stops throughout the City Centre.

Tickets (Including NHS and Carer’s Discounts)

 All ticket prices can be found on our website here. VIP upgrades are available for all tickets at an additional charge of £5.00, guaranteeing passengers seats on the top deck. Please note that we embark customers approximately 15 minutes before the start of each tour. If VIP customers arrive after that time, they forfeit the additional charges and will have seats chosen and reserved by our team members.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. At least one adult must be present for every ten children. Liverpool City Sights is not able to allow children on board when the appropriate number of adults is not present.

We are pleased to offer NHS, Disability, and Carer discounts at concession prices. These tickets are not available online, but they can be purchased on the telephone from a member of our management team or in person through one of our sellers at Gower Street, the Royal Albert Dock, or our box office bus on Canada Boulevard.

 Please note that a member of staff may ask you to present ID for concession tickets and the NHS discount.

Red Route Hop-On/Hop-Off Multilingual City Tour

This tour is live-guided by local guides who converse in the local vernacular. We also offer pre-recorded multilingual commentaries in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Mandarin. However, the multilingual system may occasionally be suspended due to diversions on the route. If you book a tour with us and change your mind because you cannot engage with English commentary, this does not qualify for a refund, partial refund, credit note, or other form of compensation.

Whilst we endeavour to offer a hop-on/hop-off service on this tour, this may not always be possible (namely, where government restrictions do not permit us to do so). Where this is the case, Liverpool City Sights will advertise such changes on our website with as much notice as possible. Due to the nature of pandemics, changes to our hop-on/hop-off services do not qualify for a refund, partial refund, credit note, or other form of compensation.

All 18+ tickets are eligible for a complimentary glass of prosecco at the Philharmonic Dining Rooms. Customers are welcome to visit this venue in the 24 hours following the commencement of their tour. Customers must show their ticket(s) to obtain their complimentary drink. Please refer to the section “Partner Discounts” for further information.

Blue Route City and Beatles Tour

This live-guided tour offers commentary on the history of Liverpool and the lives and times of The Beatles. Some tour guides can provide live music on board. If you would like to book one of these tours or request that your tour be with a specific guide, please email bookings@liverpoolcitysights.com for specific times.

The Blue Route City and Beatles Tour is not a hop-on/hop-off service. This tour makes two brief stops along the journey for photographs at Strawberry Field and Penny Lane.

At both stops, customers must board once the driver, guide, or other necessary staff member states it is time to do so. If guests do not board once advised by a staff member, buses are not permitted to wait for them. In such instances, Liverpool City Sights may offer one change as a goodwill gesture—subject to availability—but will not be responsible for further transportation and cannot offer reimbursements for any missed portion of the tour.

You may be exposed to low-hanging tree branches throughout the Blue Route suburbs. Liverpool City Sights is not responsible for this. Should you experience an injury due to this, please get in touch with admin@liverpoolcitysights.com within 48 hours of your excursion so that we can forward your complaint to the relevant governmental bodies.

 With all Blue Route City and Beatles Tour tickets, we are happy to offer guests free tickets to our Red Route City Tour, where we have availability.

Combination Tickets

Following a combination booking made online, customers will receive an automated receipt by email, followed by their tickets and a voucher for their combination attraction of choice. Following a combination booking made in person with our sales team, customers will receive printed tickets with a voucher for their combination attraction of choice.

Liverpool City Sights are not responsible for booking times for the combination attraction with partner companies. Customers must agree the times for the combination attractions with the relevant partner compapool City Sights are not responsible for the actions, services or failures of partner companies. However, where a partner has cancelled their element of the booking, Liverpool City Sights are happy to offer the customer a partial refund for this portion of the combo ticket.

Liverpool City Sights cannot offer refunds or compensation where customers attended the combination attraction but were dissatisfied with their service. Where customers have grievances with the services of partner companies, this should be raised with the relevant partner company, and not with Liverpool City Sights.

Private Hire (Including School Trips)

Liverpool City Sights are pleased to offer a private hire service for both our City Tour, and our City and Beatles Tour. We can also offer custom tours subject to ato customers whor a private hire quotation, please email bookings@liverpoolcitysights.com or fiCustomers whoe query form here

 On school trips and educational t should raise theseents must, at all times, be accompannotponsible adult/appropriate representative of the organisation. Members of the organisation should also carry out their own appropriate risk assessments.

Changes to Bookings and Tours (Including Hop-On/Hop-Off Services)

If you wish to make changes to your booking (e.g. the time, date, or number of guests), please contact Liverpool City Sights as soon as possible. Where Liverpool City Sights can, we will accommodate these changes, however, this cannot be guaranteed.

In some circumstances, Liverpool City Sights may have to change certain aspects of the booking/tour (e.g. in  with traffic restrictions or governmental regulations). Where such changes are necessary, Liverpool City Sightchanger to give customers as much notice as possible. Where such changes have caused significant disruption or delay, Liverpool City Sights may consider a refund, partial refund, credit note, or some other form of compensation. This is at the discretion of Liverpool City Sights and is entirely dependent on the situation.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your booking, please inform Liverpool City Sights in writing (e.g., by email) as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the time of your tour. Where customers notify Liverpool City Sights, or one of our relevant partners, of a cancellation in writing at least 24 hours prior to their tour, we will be happy to either issue customers with a full refund or transfer tickets to another chosen tour time within the following six months, where we have sufficient availability.

Where customers do not notify Liverpool City Sights of a cancellation within 24 hours notice, Liverpool City Sights are not able to issue a refund. If Liverpool City Sights have sufficient availability, we may offer to transfer customers’ tickets to another chosen tour time as a one-time goodwill gesture. Whilst we will do our best to accommodate such requests, this is at the discretion of Liverpool City Sights and may not always be possible.

In circumstances where a force majeure or unforeseen circumstance has transpired beyond the control of both the customer and Liverpool City Sights and results in a cancellation, Liverpool City Sights will offer to transfer customers’ tickets to a credit note of equal value. Such credit notes can be used to book a tour in the six months, following the end of the force majeure/unforeseen circumstances, and where Liverpool City Sights have sufficient availability.

Where Liverpool City Sights are solely responsible for a cancellation, we will issue customers with a full refund within 14 working days.

Breakdowns and delays

In the unlikely event that a breakdown occurs, and where such a breakdown has caused significant disruption to a tour, we will be happy to either issue customers with a full or partial refund, or transfer tickets to another chosen tour time within the following six months where Liverpool City Sights have sufficient availability.

In the event of congestion within the City Centre, leading to significant delays, Liverpool City Sights cannot be held responsible for lateness and are not able to provide compensation. Similarly, in the event of force majeure such as Road Traffic Accidents blocking the route, Liverpool City Sights will not be liable to provide compensation for lateness or having to avoid segments of the designated route.

Weather

Liverpool City Sights cannot be held responsible for the weather and will always endeavour to provide weather appropriate vehicles for tours, dependent upon availability. Liverpool City Sights will not provide compensation in any form if the customer simply does not wish to partake in the excursion due to the weather. Should the weather be so extreme that Liverpool City Sights have to cancel service, then Liverpool City Sights will gladly convert the customers’ tickets into vouchers which can be used to book a tour in the following six months.

Partner Discounts

With all tickets purchased, Liverpool City Sights offers various discounts with partner companies. These can be found on our website’s discounts page.

Where customers have grievances with the services of partner companies, this should be raised with the relevant partner company, and not with Liverpool City Sights.

All booking enquiries regarding these discounted services should be pursued directly through our partner companies.

Liverpool City Sights are not responsible for the actions, services, or failures of partner companies. In the unlikely event that customers are unable to redeem discounts from partner companies, Liverpool City Sights cannot provide compensation.

Guest Conduct

You and the guests in your party must act responsibly to ensure the safety of all passengers. Guests must always follow the guidance of the driver, guide or other relevant staff member. For the safety of all customers and staff, guests must remain seated at all times whilst the vehicle is moving.

Guests must behave in a responsible and respectful manner, both towards staff and the general public. Abuse, harassment and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Liverpool City Sights have the right to refuse service without compensation should you display any abusive behaviour towards our staff, be this physically or verbally.

Smoking is not permitted on any of our vehicles. This includes on open top vehicles. The consumption of alcohol is also not permitted on any of our tours, with the exception of private tours where specifically agreed in writing by management prior to the tour. Where guests are found to smoke or consume alcohol on board, Liverpool City Sights reserves the right to refuse transportation without issuing a refund or compensation.

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. At least one adult must be present per ten children. Where the appropriate number of adults is not present, Liverpool City Sights reserves the right to refuse transportation without issuing a refund or compensation.

In the event of damages, misconduct, illegal or prohibited activity, Liverpool City Sights reserves the right to refuse or cease transportation and contact the police (or other relevant organisation). In the event of damages, misconduct or theft, Liverpool City Sights reserves the right to take legal action and pursue the customer for the damages incurred.

Photography

Guests are welcome to take still photographs, providing any people in said photos have consented to having their picture taken. Videos and audio-recordings are strictly prohibited on all of our tours due to the commentary from our guides being their intellectual property.

Liverpool City Sights have the right to use any photographs or other media submitted by customers to TripAdvisor and other sites for promotional purposes. Similarly, where Liverpool City Sights staff take photographs with your consent, these may also be used for promotional purposes.

Accessibility

Accessibility is our utmost priority at Liverpool City Sights. All of our buses are wheelchair and motorised scooter accessible.

Where guests have limited mobility, they are welcome to take the downstairs priority seats. Please notify us prior to booking if you wish to reserve these seats.

We are pleased to offer an accessible scripted commentary of both our tours. If you would like access to one of these commentaries, please inform us prior to your tour by emailing bookings@liverpoolcitysights.com.

A copy of these Terms and Conditions is also available in large print and Easy Read. If you require these or any other materials in large print or Easy Read, please contact us prior to your tour and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Queries and Complaints

At Liverpool City Sights, customer service is our utmost priority. If you have a query or complaint, please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@liverpoolcitysights.com. We will endeavour to investigate your complaint within 14 working days.

For compensation to be considered, complaints must be reported within 48 hours of your excursion.
