Why is it best to use the hop-on hop-off bus?

If you are unfamiliar with Liverpool , we suggest completing a full loop while listening to the commentary. This will help you decide which attractions you would like to explore in more detail. You can then hop off to visit them up close before hopping back on the bus. You can to use the bus as often as you like within the validity period of your ticket.

Departure location

Stop 1 is Gower Street on the Royal Albert Dock, however, you are free to board the bus at any of our designated stops throughout the city centre.

Please consult the announcement banner at the top of the homepage concerning any road closures, diversions, or stop closures.

Departure time

With service beginning at 9:50, all buses leave the Royal Albert Dock at 50/20 minutes past the hour. In the summer, the last tour leaves at 15:50 and in the winter, the last bus leaves at 15:20.

What are hop-on hop-off stops?

Our tours follow fixed routes with carefully chosen hop-on hop-off stops, positioned as close as possible to major landmarks. Simply hop off at any designated stop to explore the attraction, then return to the same stop or a nearby one to continue your tour.

Remember to always put your hand out to flag down the bus and to always press the bell when you want to alight.

As our City Tour operates as a ‘service’ tour we are only able to use the iconic yellow Merseytravel bus stops.
